Reverend Dr. Kelvin Lang

Reverend Dr. Kelvin Lang is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He is the son of the late Mrs. Hattie Lang and Robert Lang. He was educated in the Birmingham Public School System, graduating from Wenonah High School in 1988 as Valedictorian. He was voted most likely to succeed by his High School peers. Upon completion of High School, Rev. Lang began working full time at The Birmingham News and enrolled full time at night at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

While matriculating at UAB, he served on the SGA and joined the Iota Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, serving one year as Secretary and two years as Chapter President. In 1995, Pastor Lang received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Minor in Finance.

On December 1, 1998, The Lord called Pastor Lang to preach, but the call was not answered. On December 1, 2008, The Lord called Pastor Lang a second time and he answered. In January 2009, he immediately enrolled at the Easonian Baptist Bible College. While matriculating at the Easonian Baptist Bible College, he served as the Night Class Student Body Vice President and President. In May of 2010, Pastor Lang received his Bachelor of Theology degree and in August of 2010, he enrolled at the Interdenominational Theological Center Atlanta, Georgia, matriculating at the Morehouse School of Religion. He graduated in 2013 with a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Preaching. During his tenure, he was the recipient of the Sandy F. Ray Award for Preaching.

In 2015, Pastor Lang was called to serve the Bright Lilly Baptist Church and has continued to work diligently in the vineyard. In 2017, Pastor Lang received a Doctorate of Divinity degree from Bethesda Biblical Institute of North America/Haiti/Cuba in Pascagula, MS.

Pastor Lang is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Omicron Lambda Chapter, Birmingham Ministers Conference, serves as Secretary of the SCLC Birmingham Metro Chapter, Secretary of the New Era State Convention, and as 1st Vice Moderator of the Village Spring Manly District Association. He serves on the Executive Board of CCC, Inc. (Clergy Concerned for the Community).

He is married to Mrs. Twanna Lang and has one daughter, Carmen Lang.
